Tülay Lindberg has defended her PhD thesis in 1999 at the Karolinska Instutet in Sweden. In 2007 she has become an Associate Professor and currently heads a research group at the Department of Dental Medicine of Karolinska Institutet.
Her research is focused on the identification of predictive and diagnostic biomarkers of periodontitis, the relationship between oral microbiome and rheumatoid arthritis as well as carcinogenesis.
