Aleksander Grabiec obtained his PhD in 2012 at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2016, after completing a post-doc at the University of Manchester, UK, he joined the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. His research is focused on understanding the role of epigenetic mechanisms in chronic inflammatory diseases and microbial infections, and on identification of novel therapeutic strategies targeting these mechanisms.
